Getting Started: QEEG Brain Mapping
Everyone’s brain is different, so neurofeedback training should look different for each person. We have hundreds of tools and protocols designed to meet your specific needs and goals.
Before beginning neurofeedback, we require every client to start with a QEEG “Brain Map” assessment. This assessment provides a close look at your mental resources and the features of your brain to best help us tailor the program toward your goals and to help track and quantify brain changes created over time! A Brain Map is able to measure your brain function, providing insights into metrics that impact focus and attention, impulse control, depression and anxiety, sleep, speed of processing, and more. If you are unable to make it to one of our many offices located throughout the United States, we can send you with a Remote Brain Map Kit wherever you are.
Remote Brain Maps
The remote kit will be shipped to your door and includes everything from the EEG cap (think swim cap that measures brain waves) to the computer (equipped with advanced software to gather the data we need to map your brain).
Setting all this up on your own may seem daunting, but we have a team of coaches specially trained to remotely walk you through every step of the process. We’ll schedule a video call with a coach who will be available live to help ensure that the data you gather is on par with what our professionals capture in-office. With the help of our coaches, conducting a remote Quantitative EEG on your own is easy.
After your brain map, we’ll schedule a functional neuropsychological assessment with Dr. Andrew Hill to share his expert insights into the data and your brain! These assessments are incredibly valuable and many people feel the burden of their cognitive struggles lifted as their experiences are validated and contextualized through a conversation about mental resources and the features of their unique brain. Here, you will have a chance to set goals that will direct the path of your treatment.
